Homeless Assist was founded with a simple, powerful mission: to restore dignity and opportunity to those experiencing homelessness. Our founders saw the growing need in the community — people sleeping in parks, cars, and abandoned buildings — and were moved to act. What started as small outreach efforts soon grew into a full-scale organization focused on housing, health, and hope.
Today, we continue that mission with unwavering commitment, serving individuals, families, veterans, seniors, and young adults facing housing insecurity.

How We Began — And Where We’re Headed
Homeless Assist was born from a deep concern for the growing number of individuals in our community living without basic necessities. Our founders — a group of local advocates, volunteers, and neighbors — couldn’t ignore the increasing number of people sleeping in cars, on sidewalks, or in unsafe conditions.
What began as a small, grassroots effort to hand out meals and hygiene kits quickly evolved into something bigger. As we listened to the stories of those experiencing homelessness, we realized the need went far beyond food or a blanket — people needed stability, opportunity, and a chance to start over.
We took action.
In a short time, we went from operating out of cars and community centers to establishing a structured organization dedicated to providing holistic support — from shelter beds and healthcare referrals to life skills coaching and employment readiness programs.
